APACHA, its' country chapters, and its allies in Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Cambodia have formally launched Universal Access Campaign. The campaign kickstarted during the World AIDS Day, 2007 and it will continue to sensitize the government, civil society, donors and UN agencies to meet their commitments of Universal Access.

A number of different activities including mass rally, public protest, public hearing, street drama, policy dialogue and media campaign were organized in different parts of Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, India and Cambodia. During the campaign week, Reality Check: HIV&AIDS intervention in Asia, APACHA's latest report was also launched in all these countries.

During the campaign, activists, government officials, civil society leaders, political parties, religious leaders, media, academia PLHA activists, trade union activists, youths and student union leader, Dalits leaders, researchers, women's rights activists, ethnic rights groups, sex workers leaders and NGO activists expressed their solidarity for the campaign and they emphasized that APACHA's campaign initiative has been a timely intervention in Asia at a time when Asia still lacks debates around Universal Access.
